As part of their religious education the young monks recite the core prayers by heart and they also study Tibetan and English.
It contains a shrine hall, dormitory rooms, classrooms, a dispensary, library and reception rooms.
The young nuns study the foundation of Buddhism, and they also receive a secular education, which includes English and mathematics, among other core subjects.
Since 1977, Palpung Sherabling has provided basic medical care and medicine through a small dispensary to both the local and monastic community.
From January 2–4, 2026, Palpung Sherabling Monastic Primary School students from kindergarten to Class 2 completed three days of written exams covering Tibetan, English, Hindi, mathematics, and modern science.
From December 15–16, 2025, students at Palpung Sherabling Tantric College successfully completed comprehensive annual exams covering philosophy, Tibetan language arts, tantric liturgy, ritual arts, music, and mandala creation.
From December 11, 2025, Palpung Yeshi Rabgye Ling Nunnery’s teachers and nuns completed a three-day annual exam covering general education and advanced Buddhist philosophy treatises.
