Under the guidance and supervision of all the teachers who have mastered the knowledge of Buddhist sciences in general and especially of the sciences of grammar, poetics, medicine, and astrology, this year's classes at the monastic seat’s Palpung University of Buddhist Sciences have been successfully completed. The university's annual examination in Buddhist sciences of grammar, medicine, and astrology was then successfully conducted on five days between December 22 and 31, 2022. All the university's students sat forexams in poetics and reading mantras. The medical students took theoretical and practical exams in "The Oral Instruction Tantra" and "The Subsequent Tantra" of the Four Medical Tantras.The astrology students took exams in elemental astrology, astronomy, and manuscripts on compiling the Kalachakra tantra calendar. Students of the preliminary classes for the diploma course in Sanskrit took exams in Hindi, Sanskrit, poetics, synonymics, history of Buddhism, and Tibetan calligraphy.
